I was inspired by God to create a site for all the new believers that we will have in the 3rd Great Awakening happening in 2023 and in the next few years.  We will have more people coming to Christ than ever before.  I wanted to have a resource to provide new believers on how to learn more.

Who am I?  Just another believer!  I was born again on 4/14/14.  The book "Heaven is for Real" was a catalyst along with Gene Barron who was my pastor at the time.  Gene is so passionate about Christ - you could just tell that he really believed what he taught.  Anyway - God did bring us to Gene's church via an insurance lead.  My husband (Mark) and I are insurance agents and Mark had purchased a lead and Gene was the person who we called.  He ended up purchasing insurance and in a subsequent conversation, Mark asked him what he did for a living.  He happened to be the pastor at the closest church to us.  We had been looking for a  church (much to my chagrin at the time), and hadn't found one yet.  Mark told him we'd stop in some time.  Anyway - about two months later we show up and are sitting in the service and Pastor Gene starts talking about how he saved money on his insurance!  I was jabbing my husband in the side.  Anyway - I started to enjoy going to church.  The music was surprisingly good and I loved Gene's messages.

After about 6 months of going to church, I had to go on a business trip to Atlanta.  I purchased two books:  Heaven is For Real, and Heaven is for Real and so is Hell.  When I read that this little boy had met his sister in heaven - it struck me that God was real, and heaven was real.  I got saved all by myself in  my hotel room.  I cried and repented and was born again.  The next morning, at breakfast at Taco Bell, God showed me the work he was doing in this other lady's life.  I was sitting there having breakfast, and she walks by me and I heard her say something about Jesus.   I asked her what she said.  She said that she was just praising Jesus because she got a job.  I told her that I think God wanted me to hear that because I was a really new Christian.  She cried.

I then drove to the office building.  I am walking from the parking garage to the building - which was this pretty small side entrance.  There was a man standing at the door holding it open for me.  He said - look at you - you are glowing!  I believe that person was an angel.

Anyway - after that I was on my journey.  I felt I was 50 years behind and I needed to get started.  I started reading around the bible.  I loved reading about Heaven and books that discussed theories on why the bible was real.  (Apologetics)  After that I started reading the bible.  I was surprised to see that I even knew some of the stories because of the heaven book and the apologetics books.  I listened to Grace FM or Christian music every day while working.  I found Jack Hibbs and Paul Washer.  I really liked listening to a variety of perspectives.  Eventually, I found Todd White - and that opened the door to "true Christianity".  There had to be more than just reading the bible and going to church on Sunday.  Todd is a real Christian and a great example for me of what we can be doing to help other people know that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.

I feel that my journey was a good journey and that I've learned so much in my short life as a Christian.  I hope that this site can be a resource for other new and growing Christians.
