Reading the Bible
Not all denominations make it a priority or emphasize that it's a good idea to read the bible. But - it is. The Bible is Gods love letter written to us. We need to read it and understand it. There is mystery and revelation that God longs for us to understand, take to heart and in many ways - implement!

So on this page - I'll just link to some resources that may help you develop a good bible reading plan.
Find a bible reading plan that you like...
There are so many bible reading plans that can help you read through the entire bible annually. Personally - I like the plans that mix up reading the old testament with the new testament, proverbs and psalms. I don't like reading all Psalms or all old testament. The first link has a plan that works for me. You may have different preferences. That's ok! The 2nd link has a lot of different options that you can review and then print.

Maybe you hate reading...
Todd White is a well known Christian leader/evangelist/lover of God. He says that he never even read a book - and the first book he was able to read was The Bible. You can pray and ask God for the ability to read the word to receive wisdom and revelation and to help you enjoy reading The Word. The more you read, the more you will know God. But - there ARE other ways to know the word. Faith comes by Hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17

So - there are many bible apps for your phone, computer or ipad or other mobile device that you can setup to LISTEN to the bible! Thank God that we live today - with so many options available.

YouVersion Bible App: This app has it all. You can read the bible and choose from a large variety of bible translations, you can LISTEN to the bible in many of these translations (but not all! I know you can listen to the NIV version), there are a variety of bible plans that you can choose from, there are devotionals, video sermons and much more. Many churches post their sermon notes there as well. It his available on both Apple and Droid devices.

Devotionals
What is a devotional? It can actually be a few things. Typically, it is an essay or someone's thoughts related to a scripture or group of scriptures. Devotionals typically affect our hearts more than our minds. Some people feel that they understand bible verses more clearly when accompanied by devotional readings.

Memorizing Scripture
Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successfull.
There is an app you can download that makes it fun to memorize scripture. You can easily pull in verses that you want to memorize. You only have to “type” the first letter of each word as you memorize. You get points too 😊.
